Illness, injury, body changes, stress or loss can throw us off balance. Together we will identify habitual thinking patterns that no longer serve you and cultivate self-awareness that promotes real, meaningful change. Change is about creating new neural pathways in the brain and making them stick. Any meaningful change occurs over a period of time. With each repetition of new behaviors, the pathways are strengthened and new habits and ways of thinking become integrated into your life.
Stress
Stress is a major problem in the modern world. There is a continual stream of distraction from cell phones, emails, TV, advertisement and virtual entertainment. We move from one stimulus to the next all the while feeling unsettled and dissatisfied with our lives. There is no time for reflection, no contentment, no peace. We feel we don't have a choice; but...we do. More than ever it is essential that we learn to unplug and access the contentment that comes from a clear and focused mind.
As a Mindfulness-based Health and Wellness Behavioral Coach, Registered Nurse and Holistic Health Practitioner, I bring a balanced, whole-person approach to my clients. I will educate and guide you in the science and practice of mindfulness. You will learn how to cope more effectively with stress and be more aware of the choices you are making.
